Amid the dominance of digital streaming, vinyl records remain beloved by music aficionados, collectors, and sound purists alike. Their rich analog sound, physicality, and iconic artwork make them enduring cultural objects. Capturing these qualities through high-quality imagery is a craft in itself — and that’s exactly what we specialise in at Packshot Bureau, a professional photography studio based in Hackney, East London.

For Feeling Fades by Rezident (Anjunadeep), we kept the setup minimal and neutral to match the record’s atmosphere. Soft lighting was used to bring out the texture of the sleeve and the depth of the vinyl without introducing distraction. We focused on the essentials: clean lines, accurate colour, and a mood that aligns with the music.

We treat each record as an object with presence. Our role is to show it as it is — no heavy styling, no gimmicks. Just good photography that respects the work.

Our client, Anjunadeep, chose to have it photographed in four angles to showcase the sleeve artwork, vinyl detail, and overall packaging. This approach gives a fuller sense of the product without overwhelming the customer. At Packshot Bureau, we always offer flexible coverage tailored to each product, whether that means a single straightforward image or a set of images that highlights key details.

We photographed this vinyl edition of Prelude to Ecstasy by The Last Dinner Party for Universal Music. The design features a striking full-face print of dried florals, set beneath a clear vinyl surface. Our role was to capture the intricate layering and delicate texture of the artwork without introducing glare or distortion.

To achieve this, we used diffused top-down lighting and a minimal white backdrop to keep the focus on the record itself. The goal was to represent the colour and detail faithfully, ensuring the organic elements printed on the disc remained sharp and true to life. Simple, accurate, and clean.

Four-angle coverage is a popular choice for vinyl photography among the music labels we work with. For this project, Universal Music commissioned four clean product images of English Teacher’s new vinyl release. Each was delivered in high-resolution PNG format with a transparent background — ideal for digital use. As part of our product photography service, we supply all clients with both JPGs (on a background colour of their choice) and PNGs (with no background), ready for e-commerce, press, and social media. Based in East London, we offer flexible product photography for vinyl and other physical media, with fast turnaround and careful attention to material detail.
